About Timberline Church
Building Community, Not Just a Church
At Timberline, we believe the time for simply building churches has passed—now is the time to build thriving communities. Studies show that growing attendance and finances don’t automatically improve a city’s vital signs, like poverty or education rates. For too long, the church has been distracted by numbers—people in pews and dollars in the bank. While a healthy church may see growth in these areas, they’re not the true measure of success. Real health lies in the answer to a bigger question: *Is our community changing for the better?*
We see “church” not as a building, but as God’s people living out His love. A healthy Timberline means better vital statistics in our community—stronger families, safer streets, and brighter futures. It means believers see themselves as part of a movement, not just attendees on Sunday. That’s the heartbeat of who we are.

Our Focus: Kids and the Next Generation
Timberline is all about kids—the future of any community.
We’re committed to:
- Engaging Students: Building relationships with kids in local schools, showing them God’s love in ways that carry beyond the classroom.
- Supporting Families: Creating a network for foster and adoptive families to thrive.
- Transforming Lives in Kenya: Growing our ministry for orphans through education, trade skills, and stable homes.
Relationships are the foundation of real change. By pouring into kids here and abroad, we’re planting seeds for communities to flourish.

Sunday and Beyond: Reaching the Lost, Equipping the Found
Our Sunday services and ministries are designed with purpose. They’re an open door for those who don’t yet know God, showcasing His authentic love and goodness through creative expression—music, art, and honest conversation. At the same time, we empower believers to step into their gifts, offering training and opportunities to serve both at Timberline and in the wider community. It’s about reaching out and building up, all at once.

Join the Movement
Timberline isn’t about filling seats—it’s about changing lives. We’re here to make a measurable difference, one relationship at a time. Come see what God’s doing through His people, and be part of a community that’s redefining what “church” can be.

MEET OUR PASTOR
At a wedding one time, I found myself in awe of the beauty that surrounded me. I was high up in the mountains, above where trees would grow. In that moment I felt like God asked me the question, “What are you feeling right now?” Immediately answers like, peace, clarity, hope and wonder come to my mind. It was then that God spoke again and said that is what He wanted to build in Aztec. A place where people can find vision, peace of mind and be overwhelmed by His presence. A place where the atmosphere is charged with hope and people are compelled to love."

What we believe
-
The Scriptures Inspired: The Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are the inspired, infallible revelation of God to man and the authority of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26).
-
The One True God: The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35, 3:22; Isaiah 9:6, 43:10,11).
-
The Deity of Jesus: The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death and resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of God (John 1:1,14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 2:5, 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6, 9-11; Luke 1:31, 35, 24:39; 1 Peter 2:22; Hebrews 7:26; Acts 2:22, 10:38).
-
The Fall of Man: Man was created good and upright; for God said, "Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness." However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God (Genesis 1:26,27; Genesis 2:17; Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12-19).
-
The Salvation of Man: Man’s only hope is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is by faith through grace and demonstrated in repentance (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 8:16, 10:9-10, 13-15; Ephesians 2:8-9, 4:24; Titus 2:11-12, 3:5-7).
-
Ordinances of the Church:
-
Water Baptism. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost and by full immersion (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4).
-
Holy Communion. The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the Body and Blood, is represented in the fruit of the vine and bread (1 Corinthians 11:26).
-
-
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit: According to Acts 1:8 and Acts 2:4, with one of the signs being speaking in other tongues along with other gifts (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4, 8, 8:12-17, 10:44-46, 11:14-16, 15:7-9; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31).
-
The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.
-
Sanctification: The act of separation from that which is evil, and dedication unto God (2 Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18; 1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; Romans 6:1-11, 13, 8:1-2, 13, 29, 12:1-2; Hebrews 2:11, 12:14, 13:12; 1 Peter 1:5, 15-16).
-
The Church and Its Mission: The church is the representative of Jesus on earth and is to carry out the Great Commission (Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19-22, 4:11-16; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23; Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16).
-
The Ministry: A divinely called and scripturally ordained minister has been provided by God to lead the church in evangelization, worship, building the body, general leadership of the church and meeting human need with ministries of love and compassion (Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23,24; Ephesians 4:11-16; Psalms 112:9; Galatians 2:10, 6:10; James 1:27).
-
Divine Healing: Divine healing is provided for today by the Scriptures and included in the atonement for our sins (Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28; Romans 11:29).
-
The Blessed Hope: The resurrection of the just is the blessed hope of the body of Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
-
The Millennial Reign: The second coming of Christ includes the rapture and a return to earth by Christ with His saints for a thousand year reign (Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:27, 30; Revelation 1:7, 19:11-14, 20:1-6; Romans 11:26-27; Isaiah 11:6-9; Psalms 72:3-8; Micah 4:3-4).
-
The Final Judgment: There will be a final judgment at which all men will be judged (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20, 20:11-15, 21:8).
-
The New Heaven and Earth: All of God’s children will reign forever in a new heaven and a new earth (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21, 22).
-
Marriage / Sexuality: We believe that God has created sexual parameters through His word for all mankind (1 Thess. 4:3-7; 1 Cor. 5:11; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Col. 3:5); that sexuality is to be shared between a man and a woman in the context of holy matrimony (Heb. 13:4; 1 Cor. 6:15; Rom. 1:26-27); that God empowers all believers with the power to transform their desires to His standards (1 Cor. 6:11; Col. 3:7) for the ultimate purpose of joy. Accordingly, this Church, its pastors, staff and Partners will not participate in same sex unions or same sex marriages, nor shall its property or resources be used for such purposes.
